Fellow Arizonan here. If you are near the Casino, I highly recommend Montezuma Castle national park if you have never seen ancient cliff dwellings.

I am currently in Sedona on vacation with my husband and we are trying as many of these recommendations as we can - so far they have exceeded expectations! Thanks Meghan 💛 (sent while sipping a marg in Tortas De Fuego)

I live in Sedona. The restaurants are all beyond mediocre, some are even dangerous as people get food poisoning regularly (I used to have some vacations rentals and clients would complain about getting sick all the time). Sedona deserves much better. Hopefully some real chef will open some real restaurant, with real service and real good food, concocted out of selected ingredients.

Couldn’t agree with you more. I live in Cottonwood. So many great places and things to do in Sedona and the surrounding area!

Megan your Sedona is very beautiful and I must travel there so thanks for sharing.

My favorite place in the world is TRUNK BAY in ST. JOHN United States Virgin Islands. I was born and went to school in Brooklyn, NYC but every summer my Caribbean immigrant parents would send us to ST. THOMAS USVI to our paternal Grandma so they both can work 10 jobs in order to pay our tuition for our Catholic Schools. It was 5 girls all 2 yrs apart. I’m 62 now so this was in the 1970s and spending every summer in the Virgin Islands was magical man!!! I love my place just as much as you love your Sedona!!

I lost my 39 yr old Son to Covid in 2021 so I intended my bday in 2022 to be spectacular. My Big ole Baby would have wanted that for me. So for my 60th bday I had a beach party every night for a week with my family and friends loving on me and it brought back my smile. My Son was an awesome DJ so we played and danced to his wicked mixes. My Big ole Baby was at the party too!

When you have a beautiful favorite spot in this world…go there to lively up yourself and don’t be no drag! 😎

Born and raised in Cottonwood! My Mom was born in Cottonwood as well and my Grandma was born in Jerome, her dad (my great grandfather) was a miner in Jerome. So much history there and couldn’t agree with you more how AZ is such a special place to live. I’m in Tempe now but luckily get to go up to Cottonwood often to visit my family. My sister is a proud business owner in Cottonwood has her own hair salon. Love seeing local people still there and the feel of small town vibes. Your father was a legend and the people of AZ truly loved him and your family is truly AZ royalty. I remember meeting your Dad once at Starbucks in Safeway, in Cottonwood. He was such a nice man and would talk to everyone. Thanks for sharing your love of AZ!

Love your recommendations! I would add the Sky Ranch Lodge and the Mesa Grill..fabulous views at the Sky Ranch property and it is an old school motel recently updated. The Mesa Grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a dog friendly patio.

Thanks for the explanation. I didn’t read the article because I am not planning a trip to AZ in the near future (although, I would love to go there!). I did make a mental note to look at it when we plan a trip.

Sedona is enchanted. It might be one of the most beautiful places on earth.....watching the sun rise and set on the red rocks is nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Love that you shared your list. Can't wait to go back and try them.

You're so right about The Enchantment and Pink Jeep----both first class......like you!
