From one Arizona girl (born and raised in Yuma) to another happy birthday! I am so perplexed by so much of the crap happening in our political world~growing up my very liberal parents loved to have “lively” political discussions with their much more conservative best friends…only to hug it out and plan for who was going to host next week’s barbecue…keep doing what you are doing~I don’t always agree with everything you say but I really enjoy hearing your perspective. You make your dad proud each and every day💗

I’ve learned to embrace the blank space on your calendar. There is no prize for how busy we are or can strive to be-you can say no to the party, the event, the extra sport/extracurricular for your kids. We don’t have to do everything and be everything. We get to write our own story of how we want our life to look and how we want to live it. Being occasionally bored (for our kids), is a necessity and increasingly rare these days! Let everyone slow it all down 😊

Thanks for putting this list together. It’s pretty cool. Have enjoyed watching you progress in your career and in your family life. It’s really cool to see liberty and Clover. You’re one of my favorite inside the beltway folks, and I’ve always been a fan of Ben.

Happy birthday!

I turned 60 this year and let it come and go as I do every birthday. It is truly only a number.

Be prepared for ups and downs in every season of life. Losing your mom will be awful since she is your last parent. You will be an adult orphan. THAT was much harder for me at 57 than turning any age.

Marriage is truly a life-saver. Continue to cherish your family.

Don’t ever say, “never”. When you have to change your mind, it’s tough to explain your way out.

Go on many more vacations and get out of the country. There are so many magical places around the world. Appreciate all of the beauty that the United States has to offer. Appreciate the beauty found in other cultures.

Find something positive in every person and every challenge. Take those lessons and cherish them.

Enjoy another 60+ years on Mother Earth!

YOU need to be back on TV or podcast asap doing political commentary. I miss those days when you were on the View.

Also. Was psyched to learn that you joined substack. Love your Stack..

40 is nothing. I'm wrestling with the ripe old age of 55. Hahahaha

All the best to you and your family.

I turned 70 this year, and I can vouch for virtually everything you say here (the exception being the crystals thing, but each to their own ;-). Bless you and your family. PS, I live in Alexandria too, and would love to know what restaurant you went to on your birthday).

#4 is so true. I had my last baby 3 months before my 40th birthday. It was fine but O.M.G. 5.O. hit me pretty hard. As a result, I'm working on #6 right now. Thanks for your podcast! I appreciate you speaking to women like me. Happy Birthday 🎉

Live life everyday as one really never knows when health changes occur unexpectedly. Small moments in life are all successes. You learn and embrace change as occurs. Never give up and enjoy all life has to offer EVERYDAY!!

Happy birthday!! 🫶🏽 I have always known that family is the most important thing in the world (and have always acted that way). But with each passing year, I've let down my wall for some amazing friends that have become like family and my life is even more full with them in it. I never dreamed of getting married or having kids really, but now at 35 it's becoming important to me to have a family as I grow older.

Another thing I live by: always stop for lost or injured animals/pets. Sometimes, you aren't able to help them, but you have to try. And even if they're not going to make it (injured), you can show them love and make them feel safe while they cross over the rainbow bridge 🌈🐾

I've learned that when it comes time to care for an elderly parent or a terminally ill spouse all you can do is all you can do. If after they pass you continue to ask yourself if there was that one more thing that would have delayed the inevitable the healing process cannot begin.
